Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born August 19, 1965. She is an American producer and actress. She is most famous for portraying the role of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick was awarded an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. The series ended following the seventh season. Sedgwick's performance as Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also notable. Sedgwick was awarded the Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Her film credits include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992) as well as Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are also among her many. Sedgwick was born in New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who works as a speech/family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick who is a venture capitalist. Her mother, who was Jewish, was of English and Episcopalian origins. Sedgwick has declared herself Jewish and has said she participates in Passover seders.
