Her most well-known work is her performance in the first West End production of Spamalot, the 2010 Regent's Park revival of Into the Woods and The Wizard of Oz (as the Wicked Witch of the West). Her performances have been rewarded with three Olivier Award nominations. She was chosen to play Septa Unella in Game of Thrones' fifth season in 2015. In the year 2015, she was also cast as an ensemble member in Les Miserables' 2012 adaptation as well as Winter Ridge as a primary character. Waddingham has been nominated for an Golden Globe Award.
